0:00In our foundation section, we talk about using the breath as an anchor.

0:06Whenever you're stressed or need a moment to yourself, just come back to your breath.

0:14It allows God's peace to return to your body.

0:18Whether it's shallow or deep, it's a reminder that you're still breathing and everything is going to be okay.

0:30Okay.

0:31Let's go ahead and get started by taking a moment to notice your breath.

0:42Just the rise and the fall of the chest.

0:50And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:01Now, take a moment to consider this verse.

1:07"He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul." And again.

1:24"He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul." Now, bring your attention to your breath.

1:51Just a soft, easy awareness.

2:03Notice what it feels like as air passes in through the nose and then back out through the mouth.

2:21Let the breath bring life to your body.

2:39Begin to listen to the sound of your breath.

2:47Listening to the inhale and the exhale.

3:05On the next exhale, allow the breath to relax and become natural.

3:25Allow your breath to bring renewal to your body.

3:33You're making space to notice God's presence in your life.

3:49When it feels comfortable, bring your attention to the heartbeat.

4:10Allow that rhythm and stillness to enter every part of your body.

4:36Feel the presence of God in this space.

4:53Gently bring your awareness to any sensations you're feeling.

5:12Just noticing the sensations on the body.

5:29Maybe it's the air on the skin or the weight of the body in the chair.

5:49Just noticing and welcoming these sensations as part of the meditation.

6:09Notice the rise and the fall of the chest as you breathe.

6:20Follow the breath and notice how it changes your body.

6:37The inhales, expanding the body and filling it up with life.

6:46And the exhales, relaxing the body, letting go.

7:05You don't have to do anything.

7:10It's natural and effortless.

7:14Your body knows how to relax.

7:24You are simply unearthing the calm that was already there.

7:40This is a safe place of love and deep rest.

7:57Allow your mind to take refuge in God.

8:15Take this verse with you.

8:19"He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of the body.

8:43Notice the weight of the body on the chair.

8:47And when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open and take a nice deep breath.

8:57Notice how your breath changes the way you feel.

9:02I hope you feel a little more in touch with God.

9:08We'll see you again next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
