0:00When we're worried about meeting an upcoming deadline, our mind can sometimes run wild.

0:06We can get a little carried away, and sometimes our reaction can be worse than the deadline itself.

0:13I think when we feel this way, it's important to remember that these emotions don't do much to help us.

0:21They're a natural reaction to our circumstances, but they don't make things any easier.

0:29When you feel like this, just acknowledge those feelings for what they are, just feelings.

0:37Take a deep breath in, and let it go.

0:41Relax, and be easy with yourself.

0:47Okay.

0:48Let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:55And when you're ready, take a few nice, deep breaths, and allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:12Now, take a moment to consider this verse.

1:17"So here's what I've learned through it all.

1:21Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you." And again, "So here's what I've learned through it all.

1:44Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you." Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.

2:15Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.

2:25Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.

2:39Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly.

2:48And then exhale, controlling the breath.

2:57Allow yourself to be here in this moment.

3:06This is all that matters right now.

3:14Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.

3:22Release it to God.

3:33Today is a new day, with new opportunities.

3:47Allow your breath to renew your spirit, and connect you to your creator, who loves you.

4:05Deep breath, in through the nose, and out through the mouth.

4:21Remember, this is a place of love.

4:28Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.

4:33God's calming presence is always accessible to you.

4:46Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.

5:08With a gentle curiosity, begin to notice the breath.

5:25Make the breath deep and full of life.

5:32Allow that fresh air to fill up the lungs, and then relax the body as you exhale.

5:57Let your body become heavy as your mind continues to relax.

6:05You are exactly where you need to be.

6:23And now, come to the heartbeat.

6:29Maybe even listen for its rhythm.

6:45Just relaxing and releasing.

7:04If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

7:11When it's easy, bring your awareness back to the heartbeat.

7:29Just listen to your heartbeat and the gentle sound of your breath.

7:52Let your breath act as an anchor to this moment and this practice.

8:13With each breath, allow yourself to rest further into the calm of God's love.

8:37Take this verse with you.

8:42"So here's what I've learned through it all.

8:46Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you." Gently bring your awareness back to the body.

9:13And when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.

9:22Sit back and relax for a moment.

9:26How do you feel?

9:30I hope you feel a little better.

9:33We'll see you next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
