0:00Today, as you meditate, focus on the power of your breath.
0:13Focus on your ability to calm yourself and accept your thoughts as they are.
0:28As you go about your day, know that you are with God and all you need to do is rest into His arms.
0:44Let's begin by loosening the shoulders and the chest.
0:53And when you feel ready, just allow the eyes to slowly close.
1:04Take a moment to consider this verse, "You are my refuge and my shield.
1:14Your word is my source of hope." And again, "You are my refuge and my shield.
1:32Your word is my source of hope." Now, begin to soften the body and pay attention to the breath.
2:01Now, take a deep breath until the air reaches the top of the chest, and then slowly exhale.
2:25And again, let your inhale be slow and expansive, and then exhale, following the breath back out.
2:53Allow your breath to settle and become natural.
3:09Bring your attention to any sounds in the room.
3:21Maybe the room is quiet, or maybe it's not.
3:28Both are okay.
3:35Just notice the sounds and accept them as they are.
3:51You're right where you need to be.
4:05In this moment, everything is okay.
4:11God loves you.
4:23This is a place of rest and safety.
4:37Simply let go.
4:50Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.
5:06Feel the body rise with each inhale, and then allow your awareness to rest in a little more with each exhale.
5:38Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.
5:55Begin to notice the space around the body.
6:06Feel the contact of the body on the chair, and your feet on the floor.
6:26When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.
6:40Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.
6:50Let go of your stress.
6:53Let go of your anxiety.
6:59You are exactly where you're meant to be.
7:12Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.
7:29Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.
7:59You are accepted here.
8:02You are loved.
8:17Take this verse with you: "You are my refuge and my shield.
8:26Your word is my source of hope." Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the body, maybe even move your fingers and toes a little bit.
8:54When it feels natural, allow your eyes to slowly open.
9:01Take another big, deep breath in, and let it out with a sigh.
9:08Notice how you feel.
9:11I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:14We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
