0:00When hard days come, sometimes crying is enough to make you feel better.

0:11True rest with God can bring clarity and soothe emotions.

0:22Today, as you settle into this meditation, allow yourself to fully rest in the arms of God.

0:37Let's go ahead and get started by gently bringing your attention to the breath.

0:46Notice the rise and the fall of the chest.

0:54And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:05Take a moment to consider this verse, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

1:16He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." And again, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

1:36He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few deep breaths in.

2:05Nice and easy.

2:13Let the breath settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room.

2:27Not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and your surroundings.

2:44Notice the air on the skin.

2:54Feel the chair beneath you.

3:03Pay attention to the position of your body.

3:08Make sure that you're comfortable.

3:21Notice the state of your mind.

3:27Does the mind feel calm?

3:30Does it feel restless?

3:34Both are okay.

3:42Just a simple, easy noticing.

3:55Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.

4:10Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out.

4:23Deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.

4:44Just relax.

5:01Keeping your eyes closed, bring your awareness to the space around the room.

5:21Just noticing the sounds in the room and the sensations on the body.

5:36Welcome these sensations as part of the practice.

5:59When it feels comfortable, take some nice, deep breaths.

6:15Real easy, deep breaths.

6:33Now begin to slow down the inhale.

6:42Long, slow, deep inhalation.

6:48And then let the breath out and relax.

6:55Again, take another long, slow, deep breath in, filling up the body, and then let the exhale come naturally.

7:17With each breath, let your mind relax.

7:33Allow your feelings to release and become a prayer to God.

7:54Now, for a few moments, let go of the focused attention and let your awareness rest.

8:07You are loved.

8:23Take this verse with you: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

8:33He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

8:49When it feels natural, bring your awareness back to the room, just noticing the room with a gentle appreciation.

9:03And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:09Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:13I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:16We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
