0:00When you meditate in God's presence, you're opening yourself to God's wisdom.

0:14Slowing down to rest with God opens you up to His wisdom and guidance.

0:28Rest into God's love and wisdom as you prepare for this meditation.

0:40Okay, let's begin by getting comfortable, taking a few nice, big, deep breaths.

0:54And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:04Now, take a moment to consider this verse, "God, create a pure heart in me and make my spirit strong again." Again, "God, create a pure heart in me and

1:35make my spirit strong again." As you relax, allow God's presence of peace to wash over you.

2:08Let your breath fill your body and relax your muscles.

2:23As your breath relaxes your body, bring your attention to the heartbeat, just noticing the quiet rhythm of your heartbeat.

2:56Allow that rhythm and stillness to calm your mind, to relax your body.

3:16Let go of any feelings of stress or worry.

3:32God is taking care of you.

3:46Allow those feelings to go.

3:54You are safe here.

4:06And if thoughts take you away, that's okay.

4:12Be easy with the thoughts.

4:16Just remember, you can always come back to the breath and the heartbeat.

4:35Let yourself relax and allow God to speak to your heart.

4:52When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths in, really making a point to expand the body and expand the chest.

5:22Notice how the breath makes you feel.

5:38Now, let the breath begin to settle.

5:51As your breath begins to settle, allow the body to become heavy.

6:08Notice any sensations in the body.

6:14See if you're holding on to any tension.

6:28Maybe the body is tight, or maybe it's not.

6:34Either is okay.

6:50You're just scanning the body, looking for any areas of tightness, and letting them release.

7:08And if the mind drifts away in thought, slowly bring it back to the feelings in the body and the breath.

7:28Your body knows how to relax.

7:40You don't have to think about it for it to happen.

7:44You are simply uncovering the calm that was always present.

8:01Let your awareness rest in the arms of God.

8:20Take this verse with you: God, create a pure heart in me and make my spirit strong again.

8:44Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the body.

8:52Maybe even move your fingers and toes a little bit.

8:56When it feels natural, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:04Take another big, deep breath in, and let it out with a sigh.

9:10Notice how you feel.

9:13I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:16We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
