0:00As you rest into this meditation, remember that God is your safe place.

0:13This is a place and a time that's all about you and your relationship to God.

0:25Be real.

0:28Unburden yourself.

0:32This is a place to heal, a place where you can rest.

0:45Remember that God is your safe place.

0:54Okay, let's go ahead and get started by taking a moment to notice your breath.

1:06Just the rise and the fall of the chest.

1:14And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:25Now take a moment to consider this verse: "You are my shield around me." And again, "You are my shield around me." Bring your attention to the feeling of the

2:03breath.

2:09Let it settle into a natural rhythm, effortless and easy.

2:27Notice how good it feels just to breathe.

2:44With each inhale, let your body fill up with new life.

2:54With each exhale, release and let your body relax.

3:12Feel your feet on the floor and the weight of your body in the chair.

3:29Now, gently bring your attention to your emotions.

3:40Just noticing the feelings that you brought with you today.

3:54Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them as an observer.

4:11Remember that you can leave those feelings right where they are.

4:23Just allow those thoughts to bubble up and out.

4:39Remember, today is a new day with new opportunities.

4:48God is working in your life.

5:05With a gradual ease, take a nice, big breath.

5:15Be intentional with the breath.

5:25Big, deep inhales and nice, long exhales.

5:45With each breath, allow the muscles to soften and let go.

6:09Feel that sense of gravity and weight in the body.

6:18You're just uncovering the natural calm that's always accessible through God.

6:37Now, with ease, bring your awareness to the sounds in the room.

6:55Just listening to the sounds with an easy curiosity.

7:04Not placing judgment on the sounds, just noticing the sounds, and accepting them as part of this practice.

7:28If the thoughts take you away, it's okay.

7:33When you notice the thoughts, gently bring your awareness back to the sounds.

7:51Just noticing and listening.

8:08Now, for a moment or two, let your awareness go where it wants to go.

8:29Take this verse with you: "You are my shield around me." When it feels natural, bring your awareness back to the room.

8:56Just noticing the room with a gentle appreciation, and when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:09Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:13I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:16We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
