0:00One of the best ways to deal with stress in your day is to simply take a breath.

0:09It will have a calming effect on the body and remind you to stay present in the moment.

0:18Prayer can work in the same way.

0:21If you can learn to regularly pray throughout your day, it will act as a reminder of what is real and important in your life.

0:34God is with you, and you will get through this.

0:46Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:54And when you're ready, take a few nice, deep breaths, and allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:10Now, take a moment to consider this verse: Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." And

1:36again, Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying

2:07with you.

2:15Not engaging with your feelings, just noticing them.

2:30Almost like you're observing your emotions, and then letting them go.

2:42Just like loosening your grip, you're letting go of those feelings.

3:01Let God handle whatever is out of your control.

3:14This is a place of acceptance and safety.

3:22You can always find rest in God.

3:33Now, begin to notice how your body feels.

3:44When it feels comfortable, begin to consciously relax the body.

3:57Scanning down from your head to your toes, release any areas of tension in the body.

4:17Surrender all of your stress and all of your responsibilities, and just let your mind rest.

4:42You are safe.

4:45God is looking out for you.

5:04Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.

5:12Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.

5:26Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.

5:46Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly, and then exhale, controlling the breath.

6:14Allow yourself to be here in this moment.

6:25This is all that matters right now.

6:33Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.

6:41Release it to God.

6:55Today is a new day, with new opportunities.

7:04Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your creator, who loves you.

7:22Deep breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

7:42Remember, this is a place of love.

7:48Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.

7:54God's calming presence is always accessible to you.

8:12Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.

8:31Take this verse with you.

8:36Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and

9:05when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.

9:15Sit back and relax for a moment.

9:19How do you feel?

9:23I hope you feel a little better.

9:26We'll see you next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
