0:01Whatever today brings, know that God is with you.

0:06Remember, your time with God isn't limited to this meditation.

0:13Anything can be a prayer if it's done with God's presence in mind.

0:21Okay.

0:22Let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:31And when you're ready, take a few nice, deep breaths, and allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:47As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse: Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others.

1:05Think about all you can praise God for, and be glad about it.

1:18And again, think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others.

1:31Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

1:52When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few deep breaths in.

2:02Nice and easy.

2:11Let the breaths settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room, not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and

2:32your surroundings.

2:42Notice the air on the skin.

2:52Feel the chair beneath you.

3:01Pay attention to the position of your body.

3:06Make sure that you're comfortable.

3:19Notice the state of your mind.

3:25Does the mind feel calm?

3:29Does it feel restless?

3:32Both are okay.

3:40Just a simple, easy noticing.

3:53Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.

4:08Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out, deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.

4:42Just relax.

4:57Let's begin to take note of how the body is feeling, not really thinking too much about it, just letting go of those feelings of tightness and tension.

5:38When it feels comfortable, take a few deep breaths.

5:59In through the nose and out through the mouth.

6:13Deep breath in, expanding the body and filling the chest up.

6:22And exhale, feeling the chest fall and let go.

6:41Take another big, deep breath in, and control the exhale, letting it take twice as long as the inhale.

6:58With each breath, allow the tension to melt away from the body.

7:18Now, allow your breath to take up a natural rhythm.

7:27Let the gentle sound of your breathing relax your mind.

7:50There is no way to do this wrong, just an easy, effortless awareness.

8:05Letting go.

8:21Take this verse with you.

8:25Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others.

8:35Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

8:53Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice, deep breath.

9:09Sit back and relax for a moment.

9:12How do you feel?

9:16I hope you feel a little better.

9:20We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
