0:01We all are wired to need connection by design.

0:07Prayer connects our heart to the thoughts of Jesus.

0:11God wants us to connect with Him.

0:15Prayer begins in the head, but as you sit in silence, see if you can let go into the presence of God.

0:24Rest into that deep place within, where God fills your mind and soul, a place of prayer without words.

0:40Okay, let's get started by allowing the body to relax.

0:50And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:00Now take a moment to consider this verse.

1:07"Because you belong to Christ Jesus, God's peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings." And again, "Because you belong to Christ Jesus, God's peace will stand guard

1:33over all your thoughts and feelings." Now, bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

2:03Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

2:27Now take a few deep breaths and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

2:48With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

3:08Now, begin to deepen the breath.

3:19Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath.

3:37And then right back into the next inhale.

3:45Slow it down and make it deep.

3:55And then exhale.

3:58Let the body relax.

4:15Now, allow your breath to settle and let your mind settle with it.

4:34Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

4:58Keeping your eyes closed, bring your awareness to the space around the room.

5:19Just noticing the sounds in the room and the sensations on the body.

5:36Welcome these sensations as part of the practice.

5:58When it feels comfortable, take some nice deep breaths.

6:11Real easy, deep breaths.

6:35Now, begin to slow down the inhale.

6:42Long, slow, deep inhalation.

6:49And then let the breath out, and relax.

6:57Again, take another long, slow, deep breath in, filling up the body, and then let the exhale come naturally.

7:18With each breath, let your mind relax.

7:37Allow your feelings to release and become a prayer to God.

7:52Now, for a few moments, let go of the focused attention and let your awareness rest.

8:05You are loved.

8:21Take this verse with you: Because you belong to Christ Jesus, God's peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings.

8:48Softly, begin to bring your awareness back to the body, back to that feeling of weight in the body.

8:59And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a big, deep breath in.

9:08Take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.

9:14I hope you feel a little more present.

9:18We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.

9:23Take care.
