0:00When we seek God, we always get more than we ask for.

0:05We're seeking connection, and without even asking for it, God begins to change our hearts.

0:13He begins to gradually release all those negative thoughts and feelings that we hold onto.

0:21Gradually, He changes what's inside of us.

0:28Okay.

0:29Let's begin by getting comfortable, taking a few nice, big, deep breaths.

0:42And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:53Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you.

1:06I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart." And again, "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new

1:30spirit in you.

1:32I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart." With a gentle curiosity, begin to notice the breath.

2:07Natural breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

2:23Make the breath deep and full of life.

2:30Allow that fresh air to fill up the lungs, and then relax the body as you exhale.

2:55Let your body become heavy as your mind continues to relax.

3:03You are exactly where you need to be.

3:19And now, come to the heartbeat.

3:25Maybe even listen for its rhythm.

3:35Just relaxing and releasing.

3:45If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

3:52When it's easy, bring your awareness back to the heartbeat.

4:07Just listen to your heartbeat and the gentle sound of your breath.

4:21Let your breath act as an anchor to this moment and this practice.

4:35With each breath, allow yourself to rest further into the calm of God's love.

4:57With an easy awareness, bring your attention to the space in the room.

5:18Just noticing the space with an easy curiosity.

5:32Notice your place in the room.

5:45Feel the weight of your body in the chair.

5:55Feel the air on your skin.

6:06Listen to the sounds in the room.

6:12Maybe it's quiet in the room, maybe it's not.

6:18Both are okay.

6:30You're just listening, and welcoming the sounds as part of the exercise.

6:45Not wishing to change the sounds, just accepting the sounds as they are.

7:04When it feels natural, slowly bring your awareness to the breath.

7:23Allow your breath to be a reminder to stay in this present moment.

7:42If your mind begins to wander, you can always come back to the feeling of the breath.

8:00Relax, and let your body honor the natural calm that only comes from the presence of a loving God.

8:25Take this verse with you, "I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you.

8:37I will take out your stony, stubborn heart, and give you a tender, responsive heart." Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the body.

9:04Maybe even move your fingers and toes a little bit.

9:09When it feels natural, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:16Take another big, deep breath in, and let it out with a sigh.

9:22Notice how you feel.

9:25I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:28We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
