0:00When we meditate, we're creating space in our mind and soul for God's grace, a place where we feel loved by the one who has loved us from the beginning

0:13of time.

0:15We are allowing ourselves to be open to the hand of grace.

0:20We're opening up to God's love.

0:26Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:34And when you're ready, take a few nice, deep breaths, and allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:50Now, take a moment to consider this verse, "You are God's chosen treasure." And again, "You are God's chosen treasure." When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few

1:35deep breaths in.

1:41Nice and easy.

1:50Let the breaths settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room.

2:04Not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and your surroundings.

2:22Notice the air on the skin.

2:30Feel the chair beneath you.

2:40Pay attention to the position of your body.

2:45Make sure that you're comfortable.

2:58Notice the state of your mind.

3:02Does the mind feel calm?

3:07Does it feel restless?

3:11Both are okay.

3:19Just a simple, easy noticing.

3:32Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.

3:46Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out.

4:00Deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.

4:21Just relax.

4:36Let's begin to take note of how the body is feeling.

4:49Not really thinking too much about it, just letting go of those feelings of tightness and tension.

5:17When it feels comfortable, take a few deep breaths.

5:38In through the nose and out through the mouth.

5:52Deep breath in, expanding the body and filling the chest up.

6:01And exhale, feeling the chest fall and let go.

6:20Take another big, deep breath in, and control the exhale, letting it take twice as long as the inhale.

6:37With each breath, allow the tension to melt away from the body.

6:56Now, allow your breath to take up a natural rhythm.

7:06Let the gentle sound of your breathing relax your mind.

7:28There is no way to do this wrong, just an easy, effortless awareness.

7:44Letting go.

8:00Take this verse with you, "You are God's chosen treasure." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a

8:33nice deep breath.

8:36Sit back and relax for a moment.

8:41How do you feel?

8:45I hope you feel a little better.

8:48We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
