0:00Even if you come from the harshest circumstances or the most humble beginnings, you can get through anything if you're loved.

0:11Being loved gives you a vision that something better lies beyond this present existence.

0:19It gives you a reason to persevere.

0:23God loves you like a child.

0:26His love tells us that something better lies ahead.

0:32Allow that message to rest with you as you begin this meditation.

0:39Let's begin by noticing the weight of the body, allowing the body to relax into the chair.

0:56And as the body begins to relax, allow your eyes to close.

1:06Take a moment to consider this verse: "Surely, goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

1:21forever." And again, "Surely, goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Now, bring your

1:58awareness to the feeling of the body.

2:08Maybe there's some muscle tightness or stress lingering in the body.

2:20Slowly bring your attention to those areas of tightness and relax them piece by piece.

2:40Feel the weight of your body in the chair.

2:52As your body begins to relax, allow your mind to let go.

3:03Give yourself permission to start fresh.

3:16What is done is done.

3:19All you have is this moment.

3:31This is a safe place.

3:36Release your thoughts to God.

3:52When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths.

4:04Inhale.

4:06Feel the chest rise.

4:10And exhale.

4:12Feel the chest fall.

4:21There's no way to do this wrong.

4:29If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

4:35When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness back to the feeling of the breath.

5:00With a gentle ease, let's go ahead and take a nice, deep breath.

5:16Notice how good it feels just to breathe.

5:30Allow your inhales to fill the body up.

5:42And then, totally relax the body on the exhale.

5:57Notice how your breath changes the way your body feels.

6:14And on your next inhale, begin to count the breath.

6:21One on the inhale and two on the exhale.

6:29Three on the next inhale, and four on the next exhale, counting up to 10, and then starting over again.

6:47If you lose track of the breath, it's okay.

6:52Just start over again, counting from one.

7:24There is nowhere to go, nowhere to be.

7:31We are just here, counting the breath.

7:46On the next exhale, allow the breath to relax and become natural.

8:06And now, for a moment or two, let your mind relax.

8:26Take this verse with you.

8:29"Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." When it feels natural, bring your

8:55awareness back to the room.

8:58Just noticing the room with a gentle appreciation.

9:05And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:11Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:15I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:18We'll see you again tomorrow, for another day of hope.
