0:00There are a lot of things in life that can hold us back.

0:06Maybe it's our expectations.

0:09Maybe it's our past hurts or resentments.

0:13Maybe it's expectations of others.

0:16When you let go of these things that hold you back and give it to God, you will always be moving forward to freedom.

0:28Okay.

0:29Let's get started by allowing the body to relax.

0:38And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

0:48Now, take a moment to consider this verse: Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden?

0:59Then come to me.

1:01I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.

1:14And again, are you weary, carrying a heavy burden?

1:21Then come to me.

1:24I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.

1:43Now, bring your attention to the way the body feels.

1:53Just noticing any areas of tightness in the body.

2:08If it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths.

2:21Allow your breath to loosen any areas of tightness in the body.

2:38With each breath, allow a sense of calm to wash over your body.

2:51Allow your body to totally release and let go.

3:07Now, bring your attention to the top of the head.

3:17Begin to soften the forehead, down the front of the face.

3:28Relax the corners of the eyes.

3:37Allow the neck to relax, and the shoulders to fall away from the ears.

3:48Relax the temples.

3:53The legs are becoming heavy.

4:03Feel the weight of the body.

4:11Let your whole body soften and release.

4:27Allow your mind to rest with the presence of God.

4:45Now, bring your awareness to the feeling of the body.

4:59Maybe there's some muscle tightness or stress lingering in the body.

5:10Slowly bring your attention to those areas of tightness and relax them, piece by piece.

5:34As your body begins to relax, allow your mind to let go.

6:05Give yourself permission to start fresh.

6:15What is done is done.

6:19All you have is this moment.

6:39This is a safe place.

6:43Release your thoughts to God.

6:59When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths.

7:13Inhale.

7:15Feel the chest rise.

7:19And exhale.

7:21Feel the chest fall.

7:32There's no way to do this wrong.

7:45If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

7:51When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness back to the feeling of the breath.

8:13Take this verse with you.

8:16"Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden?

8:22Then come to me.

8:25I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis." When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to open.

8:54Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

9:05Notice how you feel.

9:10I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:14We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
