0:00In meditation, and in life, peace comes when you accept things as they are.
0:08This moment is the only time we're given.
0:13Happiness, joy, and peace can only be found right where you are.
0:19Being present is its own reward.
0:25Okay.
0:26Let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few nice, deep breaths.
0:36As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.
0:49Take a moment to consider this verse: "We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God." Again, "We know that God causes
1:17everything to work together for the good of those who love God." Bring your attention to any tightness in the body.
1:48Just noticing how the body feels.
2:00Start by relaxing the hands, letting go of any tension in the hands.
2:16Allow the arms to totally relax, letting go at the elbows and the wrists.
2:32Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.
2:45Let the legs become heavy.
2:55Allow the muscles to completely let go.
3:08Let your body totally relax and release.
3:24And now, if it feels comfortable, take a big, deep breath, letting the air fill up the body.
3:40Feel the chest rise on the inhale, and fall on the exhale.
3:57Notice how the breath changes the way the body feels.
4:14And now, for a moment or two, let go of any focus, and just allow yourself to be.
4:44Now, let's take some nice, deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
5:07Just noticing and observing the breath, watching the rise and the fall of the chest.
5:31Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.
5:51Begin to notice any feelings you may have brought with you today.
6:07Thoughts are a natural part of meditation.
6:15Just leave those feelings right where they are, and then gently come back to the feeling of the breath.
6:40Long, deep inhale, then a slow controlled exhale.
6:57Allow the breath to calm the mind and relax the body.
7:12And now, allow your awareness to fall and move inward, finding that place where you feel loved.
7:34Feel that natural peace in God's presence.
7:48Remember, when you come near to God, He will come near to you.
8:10Take this verse with you: "We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling
8:41of your breath.
8:44Listen to the sound of your breathing.
8:48And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.
8:58Give yourself a stretch and sit back and relax.
9:03Remember to take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.
9:10I hope you feel better.
9:13Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
