0:00The more we meditate, the more we begin to see how our lives drive us, rather than us driving our lives.

0:09Meditation gives us the opportunity to take inventory of our decisions and life choices.

0:16Are these choices helping you build your relationships?

0:20Are they bringing you closer to God?

0:23Just let that sit with you today as you move through your meditation.

0:30Let's begin by allowing the body to become heavy.

0:39And as you begin to relax, allow your eyes to close.

0:49Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "I am the light of the world.

0:59If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." And again, "I am the light of the world.

1:20If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." Now, bring your awareness to the feeling of the

1:48body.

1:55Maybe there's some muscle tightness or stress lingering in the body.

2:07Slowly bring your attention to those areas of tightness and relax them piece by piece.

2:27Feel the weight of your body in the chair.

2:39As your body begins to relax, allow your mind to let go.

2:51Give yourself permission to start fresh.

3:03What is done is done.

3:07All you have is this moment.

3:19This is a safe place.

3:23Release your thoughts to God.

3:39When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths.

3:51Inhale, feel the chest rise, and exhale, feel the chest fall.

4:08There's no way to do this wrong.

4:17If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

4:22When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness back to the feeling of the breath.

4:47With a gentle ease, let's go ahead and take a nice, deep breath.

5:03Notice how good it feels just to breathe.

5:17Allow your inhales to fill the body up.

5:29And then, totally relax the body on the exhale.

5:45Notice how your breath changes the way your body feels.

6:01And on your next inhale, begin to count the breath.

6:09One on the inhale, and two on the exhale.

6:17Three on the next inhale, and four on the next exhale.

6:26Counting up to 10, and then starting over again.

6:35If you lose track of the breath, it's okay, just start over again counting from one.

7:11There is nowhere to go, nowhere to be.

7:19We are just here, counting the breath.

7:33On the next exhale, allow the breath to relax and become natural.

7:53And now for a moment or two, let your mind relax.

8:13Take this verse with you: "I am the light of the world.

8:20If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life." When it feels natural, bring your awareness back to

8:47the room.

8:48Just noticing the room with a gentle appreciation.

8:54And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:01Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:05I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:08We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
