0:00Meditation is a natural process of resting into the experience of your life.
0:08You begin to view your life differently than you did before.
0:14As you become more present, you begin to notice things that you were not aware of before.
0:21By meditating, your perspective begins to change the way you see your world.
0:30Okay.
0:32Let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few nice, deep breaths.
0:42As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.
0:54Take a moment to consider this verse: "The Lord will guide you continually.
1:05You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring." And again, "The Lord will guide you continually.
1:25You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring." Now, bring your awareness to the feelings you brought with you today.
2:02Just taking note of your emotions and accepting them as they are.
2:20Begin to take a few nice, big breaths.
2:34With each exhale, you're relaxing and letting those feelings go.
2:50Stressful situations are a part of life, but you are stronger than those feelings.
3:16Just relaxing and appreciating the breath.
3:28On your next inhale, begin to count the breath.
3:35One on the inhale, and two on the exhale.
3:42Three on the next inhale, and four on the exhale, counting up to 10, and then starting over again.
4:16Allow your breath to bring life into your body.
4:29Let your breath remind you of God's calming presence in your life.
4:51Now, slowly begin to take some deep breaths, allowing the body to open.
5:08Let the breath relax any areas of tightness in the body.
5:24Consciously, start to turn the muscles off.
5:33Start with the muscles in the feet and the legs.
5:40Allow the feet to be heavy on the floor.
5:48Allow the chest and the back to open so the breathing can become deep and natural.
6:10Soften the shoulders.
6:13Allow them to fall away from the ears.
6:27Let the head fall and become heavy at the neck.
6:39Feel the weight of the body and how it pushes you down into the chair.
6:57When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness to the sound of your breath.
7:08Not changing anything about the breath, just noticing it.
7:25Listening to the gentle rhythm of the inhales and exhales.
7:43Filling the body up with fresh air, and then slowly exhaling and letting go.
8:00Let your mind be still.
8:16Take this verse with you: "The Lord will guide you continually.
8:25You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of your breath.
8:50Listen to the sound of your breathing.
8:55And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.
9:05Give yourself a stretch, and sit back and relax.
9:10Remember to take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.
9:17I hope you feel better.
9:20Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
