0:00When practicing mindfulness, we often will talk about accepting things as they are.

0:07It's important to remember that acceptance doesn't mean you're just giving into something.

0:14It's really about being open and trusting in the natural process.

0:21It's having the wisdom to know that you don't always know what's best for your life.

0:28Trust the process and trust God.

0:33Okay.

0:35Let's get started by allowing the body to relax.

0:41And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

0:52Take a moment to consider this verse: "I will watch over you and be your guide." And again, "I will watch over you and be your guide." Now, bring your

1:33attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

1:42Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

2:07Now, take a few deep breaths and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

2:28With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

2:48Now, begin to deepen the breath.

2:58Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath.

3:16And then right back into the next inhale.

3:24Slow it down and make it deep.

3:35And then exhale.

3:37Let the body relax.

3:55Now, allow your breath to settle and let your mind settle with it.

4:13Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

4:38Keeping your eyes closed, bring your awareness to the space around the room.

4:59Just noticing the sounds in the room and the sensations on the body.

5:15Welcome these sensations as part of the practice.

5:37When it feels comfortable, take some nice deep breaths.

5:51Real easy, deep breaths.

6:14Now begin to slow down the inhale.

6:22Long, slow, deep inhalation, and then let the breath out, and relax.

6:36Again, take another long, slow, deep breath in, filling up the body, and then let the exhale come naturally.

6:58With each breath, let your mind relax.

7:16Allow your feelings to release and become a prayer to God.

7:31Now, for a few moments, let go of the focused attention and let your awareness rest.

7:44You are loved.

8:01Take this verse with you, "I will watch over you and be your guide." Softly, begin to bring your awareness back to the body, back to that feeling of weight

8:30in the body.

8:32And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a big, deep breath in.

8:41Take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.

8:47I hope you feel a little more present.

8:51We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.

8:56Take care.
