0:00When meditating, it's so important to remain open.

0:05Try not to hold on to the way you believe things should be.

0:10Accept things as they are.

0:14Know that life is messy, but God is at work in your life.

0:21Let's begin by allowing the body to become heavy.

0:30And as you begin to relax, allow your eyes to close.

0:41Now, take a moment to consider this verse: Even if I walk into trouble, You will keep my life safe.

0:59And again, even if I walk into trouble, You will keep my life safe.

1:23With a gradual ease, take a nice big breath.

1:32Be intentional with the breath.

1:39Big, deep inhales and nice, long exhales.

1:51Relax and settle into your body.

1:59With each breath, allow the muscles to soften and let go.

2:14Feel that sense of gravity and weight in the body.

2:23You're just uncovering the natural calm that's always accessible through God.

2:41Now, with ease, bring your awareness to the sounds in the room.

2:55Just listening to the sounds with an easy curiosity.

3:04Not placing judgment on the sounds.

3:08Just noticing the sounds, and accepting them as part of this practice.

3:27If the thoughts take you away, it's okay.

3:32When you notice the thoughts, gently bring your awareness back to the sounds.

3:51Just noticing and listening.

4:08Now, for a moment or two, let your awareness go where it wants to go.

4:33Now, bring your attention to the way it feels when you breathe.

4:54Feel the stomach and the chest rise with each inhale.

5:05And feel the body relax with each exhale.

5:29In through the nose.

5:32Feel the body expand, and then slowly exhale.

5:57Let the breath be natural.

6:01Let the breath naturally relax the body.

6:21Allow the face and the neck to soften.

6:41Allow the forehead to relax and the shoulders to fall away from the ears.

7:01Relax the body, and allow the chair to hold the body up.

7:18Just relaxing and letting the body unwind.

7:37Simply let go.

7:53Take this verse with you: Even if I walk into trouble, You will keep my life safe.

8:14When it feels easy, bring your attention back to the feeling of the breath.

8:23Take a few more deep breaths and slowly allow your eyes to open.

8:32Notice how the breath changes the way you feel.

8:36I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

8:40We'll see you again tomorrow.

8:43Take care of yourself.
