0:00Sometimes God's love can feel so solid and tangible in our lives, and then other times, feels so far away.

0:14But this feeling of loneliness has more to do with us than it does with God.

0:22God's love is all around us, all the time.

0:27It's always present, but sometimes we just can't see it.

0:34Just like the sun shining behind the clouds, you don't have to see it to trust that it's there.

0:43Think about that as you meditate today.

0:49Okay, let's go ahead and get started by taking a moment to notice your breath.

1:01Just the rise and the fall of the chest.

1:09And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:20Now take a moment to consider this verse.

1:26You belong to God.

1:37And again, you belong to God.

1:56Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.

2:10Feel the body rise with each inhale, and then allow your awareness to rest in a little more with each exhale.

2:34Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.

2:51Begin to notice the space around the body.

3:02Feel the contact of the body on the chair, and your feet on the floor.

3:16When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.

3:30Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.

3:40Let go of your stress.

3:43Let go of your anxiety.

3:49You are exactly where you're meant to be.

4:02Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.

4:19Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.

4:38You are accepted here.

4:41You are loved.

5:02Now, bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

5:16Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

5:44Now take a few deep breaths and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

6:09With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

6:33Now, begin to deepen the breath.

6:44Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath, and then right back into the next inhale.

7:10Slow it down and make it deep.

7:20And then exhale.

7:22Let the body relax.

7:40Now, allow your breath to settle and let your mind settle with it.

8:04Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

8:26Take this verse with you.

8:30You belong to God.

8:44Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of the body.

8:51Notice the weight of the body on the chair, and when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open and take a nice deep breath.

9:05Notice how your breath changes the way you feel.

9:10I hope you feel a little more in touch with God.

9:16We'll see you again next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
