0:00In meditation, there's no goal or destination.

0:05We're simply letting go.

0:08We're allowing ourselves to simply be.

0:12By doing this, we begin to notice all the things that we were missing.

0:18Most importantly, we open ourselves up to experience the presence of God.

0:25Our minds naturally begin to quiet, and our soul begins to hear the whisper of God.

0:36Let that sit with you today and see how it changes your perspective.

0:43Okay.

0:46Let's begin by taking a few seconds to consciously relax the body.

0:57And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:06Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart." And again: "Let me teach you, because I am humble

1:33and gentle at heart." Now, take a moment to be grateful for this opportunity to relax.

2:05Notice how good it feels just to be here in this moment.

2:21When it feels natural, begin to deepen the breath.

2:33Let go of your worries, and focus your attention on the breath.

2:47Nothing else matters right now.

2:53You are here.

2:56There's nothing to do but relax.

3:09Allow your body to honor the natural calm given by God's presence.

3:21Just listening to the breath, noticing the rise and the fall of the chest.

3:34Deep breath in, expanding the body, and then exhale, letting your awareness rest.

3:55Take another deep breath as you feel your lungs expand.

4:05And exhale, following the air back out through the mouth.

4:18The thoughts may take you away, and that's okay.

4:29With each breath, effortlessly rest into the arms of God.

4:53Now, slowly begin to take some deep breaths, allowing the body to open.

5:11Let the breath relax any areas of tightness in the body.

5:29Consciously, start to turn the muscles off.

5:38Start with the muscles in the feet and the legs.

5:45Allow the feet to be heavy on the floor.

5:53Allow the chest and the back to open so the breathing can become deep and natural.

6:13Soften the shoulders.

6:17Allow them to fall away from the ears.

6:27Let the head fall and become heavy at the neck.

6:39Feel the weight of the body and how it pushes you down into the chair.

6:57When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness to the sound of your breath.

7:07Not changing anything about the breath, just noticing it.

7:23Listening to the gentle rhythm of the inhales and exhales.

7:36Filling the body up with fresh air.

7:42And then slowly exhaling and letting go.

8:02Let your mind be still.

8:19Take this verse with you, "Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart." Allow your awareness to slowly come back to your body.

8:49And when it feels natural, begin to open your eyes.

8:57Sit back in your chair.

8:59Maybe you want to stretch a little bit.

9:03Do whatever feels good.

9:06Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:11I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:15We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
