0:00As you focus and meditate on God, you become more connected with the universe.
0:07You become more connected with the family of God and more connected with God's creation.
0:15God connects us to everything in the universe, because He is the creator of the universe.
0:22To bring more harmony and connection into your world today, let God fill your spirit with His words and presence.
0:35Okay.
0:37Let's get started by allowing the body to relax.
0:46And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.
0:56Now take a moment to consider this verse, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." And again, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
1:39Now, bring your awareness to the space around the body.
1:50Not really examining it, just noticing the space with an easy curiosity.
2:11Notice any sensations on the skin.
2:18Feel the clothes on the skin.
2:28Feel the temperature of the room.
2:37Listen to the sounds in the room.
2:46Just a nice, easy focus on the sounds in the room.
3:07Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.
3:15Notice the rise and the fall of the chest.
3:32Maybe the breath is shallow, or maybe it's deep.
3:39Both are okay.
3:42Just follow the breath as it moves through your body.
3:58Let the rhythm of your breath relax your mind.
4:17This is a safe place.
4:22God is watching over you.
4:43With ease, bring your attention to the breath.
5:00Take a few nice, deep breaths.
5:09Make them feel easy and effortless.
5:31Feel life enter your body as you breathe in, and then release your tension as you breathe out.
6:00Inhale.
6:03Feel how the body expands.
6:07Then slowly exhale, feeling the body fall.
6:26Feel the air as it travels in through the nose, and follow the air back out through the mouth.
6:48Allow each breath to soften the chest and relax the shoulders.
6:58Begin to scan the body from the head to the toe, relaxing the body piece by piece.
7:15There's no way to do this wrong.
7:32And now, for a few moments, allow your mind to do what it wants to do.
7:44If it wants to think, then let it think.
7:50And if it wants to rest, then let it rest.
8:09Take this verse with you.
8:13"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to open.
8:43Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
8:54Notice how you feel.
8:59I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:03We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
