0:00When you meditate on the life of Jesus, you can feel your heart becoming more like His.

0:08You can discover a peace and tranquility that was not there before.

0:15You can release your worries and your fears.

0:20Your soul finds rest in the soothing tranquility of God's love.

0:27Remind yourself of that as you meditate today.

0:33When you feel ready, go ahead and get comfortable in your position, really allowing the body to relax.

0:48And when you're ready, let your eyes slowly close.

0:57Take a moment to consider this verse: "He will feed his flock like a shepherd.

1:07He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart." And again, "He will feed his flock like a shepherd.

1:28He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart." Now, bring your attention to the way it feels when you breathe.

2:06Feel the stomach and the chest rise with each inhale, and feel the body relax with each exhale.

2:35In through the nose, feel the body expand, and then slowly exhale.

3:01Let the breath be natural.

3:06Let the breath naturally relax the body.

3:24Allow the face and the neck to soften.

3:40Allow the forehead to relax and the shoulders to fall away from the ears.

3:58Relax the body and allow the chair to hold the body up.

4:15Just relaxing and letting the body unwind.

4:31Simply let go.

4:51Now, bring your awareness to the feeling of the body.

5:08Maybe there's some muscle tightness or stress lingering in the body.

5:29Slowly bring your attention to those areas of tightness and relax them piece by piece.

5:54Feel the weight of your body in the chair.

6:10As your body begins to relax, allow your mind to let go.

6:22Give yourself permission to start fresh.

6:40What is done is done.

6:44All you have is this moment.

7:00This is a safe place.

7:04Release your thoughts to God.

7:20When it feels comfortable, take a few nice deep breaths.

7:42There's no way to do this wrong.

7:50If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

7:56When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness back to the feeling of the breath.

8:18Take this verse with you, "He will feed his flock like a shepherd.

8:26He will carry the lambs in his arms, holding them close to his heart." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of the body.

8:50Notice the weight of the body on the chair.

8:54And when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open and take a nice deep breath.

9:04Notice how your breath changes the way you feel.

9:09I hope you feel a little more in touch with God.

9:15We'll see you again next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
