0:01Peace always begins in the mind.

0:07External factors can help, but they will never lead to lasting peace.

0:19Allow God to bring peace to your spirit.

0:28As you rest into this meditation, allow God to change you on the inside by the indwelling of His Spirit into yours.

0:45Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:55And when you're ready, take a few nice deep breaths, and allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:11As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse, "When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn." And again, "When I am

1:37overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn." Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.

2:01Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.

2:12Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.

2:26Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly, and then exhale, controlling the breath.

2:43Allow yourself to be here in this moment.

2:53This is all that matters right now.

3:01Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.

3:08Release it to God.

3:20Today is a new day, with new opportunities.

3:34Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your Creator, who loves you.

3:52Deep breath, in through the nose, and out through the mouth.

4:08Remember, this is a place of love.

4:14Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.

4:20God's calming presence is always accessible to you.

4:33Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.

4:54With a gentle curiosity, begin to notice the breath.

5:12Make the breath deep and full of life.

5:18Allow that fresh air to fill up the lungs, and then relax the body as you exhale.

5:43Let your body become heavy as your mind continues to relax.

5:52You are exactly where you need to be.

6:09And now, come to the heartbeat.

6:15Maybe even listen for its rhythm.

6:31Just relaxing and releasing.

6:50If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

6:57When it's easy, bring your awareness back to the heartbeat.

7:15Just listen to your heartbeat and the gentle sound of your breath.

7:38Let your breath act as an anchor to this moment and this practice.

7:59With each breath, allow yourself to rest further into the calm of God's love.

8:24Take this verse with you, "When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready,

8:55slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.

9:02Sit back and relax for a moment.

9:06How do you feel?

9:10I hope you feel a little better.

9:13We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
