0:00By taking the time to meditate and pray, you not only get a clear vision of God, but you also get a clear vision of yourself.
0:15By spending time with God, you're becoming more of what you were designed to be, and less of what the world says you should be.
0:28Today, rest with that as you settle into this meditation.
0:40Okay, let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few deep breaths.
0:52As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:04Now, take a moment to consider this verse: Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His
1:20eyes.
1:30And again, even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.
1:58Now, bring your awareness to the feelings you brought with you today.
2:13Just taking note of your emotions and accepting them as they are.
2:31Begin to take a few nice, big breaths.
2:45With each exhale, you're relaxing and letting those feelings go.
3:01Stressful situations are a part of life, but you are stronger than those feelings.
3:27Just relaxing and appreciating the breath.
3:39On your next inhale, begin to count the breath.
3:46One on the inhale and two on the exhale.
3:53Three on the next inhale and four on the exhale, counting up to ten, and then starting over again.
4:27Allow your breath to bring life into your body.
4:41Let your breath remind you of God's calming presence in your life.
5:02Now, slowly begin to take some deep breaths, allowing the body to open.
5:19Let the breath relax any areas of tightness in the body.
5:35Consciously, start to turn the muscles off.
5:44Start with the muscles in the feet and the legs.
5:51Allow the feet to be heavy on the floor.
5:59Allow the chest and the back to open, so the breathing can become deep and natural.
6:21Soften the shoulders.
6:24Allow them to fall away from the ears.
6:38Let the head fall and become heavy at the neck.
6:50Feel the weight of the body, and how it pushes you down into the chair.
7:08When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness to the sound of your breath.
7:19Not changing anything about the breath, just noticing it.
7:36Listening to the gentle rhythm of the inhales and exhales.
7:54Filling the body up with fresh air, and then slowly exhaling and letting go.
8:11Let your mind be still.
8:27Take this verse with you: Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.
8:57Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of your breath.
9:04Listen to the sound of your breathing.
9:08And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.
9:18Give yourself a stretch and sit back and relax.
9:23Remember to take a moment to check in, and notice how you feel.
9:31I hope you feel better.
9:33Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
