0:00If you're looking to resolve drama and hardship in your life, spend time with God.
0:11God's voice in your life will either change your circumstances or it will change you.
0:22Either of these scenarios will bring you peace.
0:31As you pray today, know that you are moving closer to peace.
0:43Let's begin by noticing the weight of the body, allowing the body to relax into the chair.
1:00And as the body begins to relax, allow your eyes to close.
1:10Take a moment to consider this verse, "Even though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me." And again, "Even though
1:37I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me." With a gradual ease, take a nice big breath.
2:07Be intentional with the breath, big, deep inhales and nice long exhales.
2:26Relax and settle into your body.
2:34With each breath, allow the muscles to soften and let go.
2:49Feel that sense of gravity and weight in the body.
2:58You're just uncovering the natural calm that's always accessible through God.
3:16Now, with ease, bring your awareness to the sounds in the room.
3:30Just listening to the sounds with an easy curiosity, not placing judgment on the sounds, just noticing the sounds and accepting them as part of this practice.
4:02If the thoughts take you away, it's okay.
4:07When you notice the thoughts, gently bring your awareness back to the sounds.
4:26Just noticing and listening.
4:43Now, for a moment or two, let your awareness go where it wants to go.
5:08Now, bring your attention to the way it feels when you breathe.
5:29Feel the stomach and the chest rise with each inhale, and feel the body relax with each exhale.
6:04In through the nose.
6:07Feel the body expand.
6:11And then slowly exhale.
6:32Let the breath be natural.
6:36Let the breath naturally relax the body.
6:56Allow the face and the neck to soften.
7:16Allow the forehead to relax and the shoulders to fall away from the ears.
7:36Relax the body and allow the chair to hold the body up.
7:53Just relaxing and letting the body unwind.
8:12Simply let go.
8:28Take this verse with you: Even though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.
8:54When it feels easy, bring your attention back to the feeling of the breath.
9:03Take a few more deep breaths and slowly allow your eyes to open.
9:12Notice how the breath changes the way you feel.
9:17I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:21We'll see you again tomorrow.
9:24Take care of yourself.
