0:00Our minds are often occupied by thoughts of the past and plans for the future.
0:07We play these scenarios over and over again in our mind.
0:12These thoughts take us away from the present moment and disconnect us from what matters most.
0:21Life is only found in the present.
0:25Remind yourself of that as you go about your day.
0:31Let's begin by noticing the weight of the body, allowing the body to relax into the chair.
0:48And as the body begins to relax, allow your eyes to close.
0:58Take a moment to consider this verse.
1:04"I focus on this one thing, forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead." And again, "I focus on this one thing, forgetting the past and looking forward
1:34to what lies ahead." Bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.
2:05Not engaging with your feelings, just noticing them.
2:19Almost like you're observing your emotions, and then letting them go.
2:31Just like loosening your grip, you're letting go of those feelings.
2:50Let God handle whatever is out of your control.
3:03This is a place of acceptance and safety.
3:11You can always find rest in God.
3:23Now, begin to notice how your body feels.
3:33When it feels comfortable, begin to consciously relax the body.
3:47Scanning down from your head to your toes, release any areas of tension in the body.
4:07Surrender all of your stress and all of your responsibilities, and just let your mind rest.
4:31You are safe.
4:34God is looking out for you.
4:55Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.
5:02Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.
5:21Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.
5:41Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly.
5:49And then exhale, controlling the breath.
6:02Allow yourself to be here in this moment.
6:12This is all that matters right now.
6:20Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.
6:27Release it to God.
6:39Today is a new day, with new opportunities.
6:53Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your creator, who loves you.
7:11Deep breath, in through the nose, and out through the mouth.
7:29Remember, this is a place of love.
7:35Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.
7:41God's calming presence is always accessible to you.
8:01Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.
8:21Take this verse with you.
8:25"I focus on this one thing, forgetting the past, and looking forward to what lies ahead." When it feels easy, bring your attention back to the feeling of the breath.
8:57Take a few more deep breaths and slowly allow your eyes to open.
9:06Notice how the breath changes the way you feel.
9:10I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:14We'll see you again tomorrow.
9:17Take care of yourself.
