0:00Letting go of control is not accepting defeat.

0:04It's allowing God to steer.

0:07It's knowing that good or bad, God will make everything work out to your eternal benefit.

0:16Today, in this moment, loosen your grip.

0:20God has a plan for you.

0:23Take that with you as you settle into this meditation.

0:30Let's start by taking a few nice, deep breaths.

0:40As your breath begins to relax your body, allow your eyes to close, like the sun sets.

0:53Now take a moment to consider this verse: "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.

1:05They will soar high on wings like eagles." And again, "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.

1:24They will soar high on wings like eagles." When it feels comfortable, take a few nice, deep breaths in, really making a point to expand the body and expand the

2:03chest.

2:11Notice how the breath makes you feel.

2:25Now let the breath begin to settle.

2:35As your breath begins to settle, allow the body to become heavy.

2:49Notice any sensations in the body.

2:55See if you're holding onto any tension.

3:03Maybe the body is tight, or maybe it's not.

3:09Either is okay.

3:19You're just scanning the body, looking for any areas of tightness and letting them release.

3:35And if the mind drifts away in thought, slowly bring it back to the feelings in the body and the breath.

3:55Your body knows how to relax.

4:07You don't have to think about it for it to happen.

4:11You are simply uncovering the calm that was always present.

4:26Let your awareness rest in the arms of God.

4:45Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.

5:02Feel the body rise with each inhale, and then allow your awareness to rest in a little more with each exhale.

5:32Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.

5:50Begin to notice the space around the body.

6:02Feel the contact of the body on the chair, and your feet on the floor.

6:24When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.

6:38Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.

6:52Let go of your stress.

6:55Let go of your anxiety.

7:01You are exactly where you're meant to be.

7:14Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.

7:31Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.

7:54You are accepted here.

7:57You are loved.

8:13Take this verse with you: "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.

8:22They will soar high on wings like eagles." Allow your awareness to slowly come back to your body.

8:45And when it feels natural, begin to open your eyes.

8:53Sit back in your chair.

8:55Maybe you want to stretch a little bit.

8:59Do whatever feels good.

9:02Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:07I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:11We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
