0:00Gratitude in life makes everything better.
0:08Gratitude is key in sustaining long-term happiness.
0:17True joy is based on finding the good in any situation.
0:24It's trusting that God will make everything work towards your eternal benefit.
0:34As you meditate today, allow your spirit to rest, and be thankful.
0:42Take a moment to simply embrace gratitude.
0:53Okay, let's begin by taking a few seconds to consciously relax the body.
1:07And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:16Now, take a moment to consider this verse, "I will sing out in thanks to the Lord.
1:25Praise Him, for He has delivered me." And again, "I will sing out in thanks to the Lord.
1:44Praise Him, for He has delivered me." With an easy awareness, bring your attention to the space in the room.
2:15Just noticing the space with an easy curiosity.
2:27Notice your place in the room.
2:36Feel the weight of your body in the chair.
2:46Feel the air on your skin.
2:55Listen to the sounds in the room.
3:01Maybe it's quiet in the room, maybe it's not.
3:07Both are okay.
3:19You're just listening and welcoming the sounds as part of the exercise.
3:32Not wishing to change the sounds, just accepting the sounds as they are.
3:51When it feels natural, slowly bring your awareness to the breath.
4:06Allow your breath to be a reminder to stay in this present moment.
4:21If your mind begins to wander, you can always come back to the feeling of the breath.
4:41Relax and let your body honor the natural calm that only comes from the presence of a loving God.
5:06With ease, bring your attention to the breath.
5:22Take a few nice, deep breaths.
5:31Make them feel easy and effortless.
5:51Feel life enter your body as you breathe in, and then release your tension as you breathe out.
6:23Inhale.
6:26Feel how the body expands.
6:30Then, slowly exhale, feeling the body fall.
6:49Feel the air as it travels in through the nose, and follow the air back out through the mouth.
7:06Allow each breath to soften the chest and relax the shoulders.
7:18Begin to scan the body from the head to the toe, relaxing the body piece by piece.
7:39There's no way to do this wrong.
7:55And now, for a few moments, allow your mind to do what it wants to do.
8:06If it wants to think, then let it think.
8:13And if it wants to rest, then let it rest.
8:30Take this verse with you: "I will sing out in thanks to the Lord.
8:38Praise Him, for He has delivered me." Allow your awareness to slowly come back to your body.
9:01And when it feels natural, begin to open your eyes.
9:08Sit back in your chair.
9:11Maybe you want to stretch a little bit.
9:14Do whatever feels good.
9:17Take a moment to notice how you feel.
9:23I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:26We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
