0:00We live in a society that always values more.
0:07More stuff, more time, more money.
0:13But contentment and joy can only be found in accepting what is.
0:25Basing your mindset on the idea that you already have enough allows you to live in abundance.
0:40Today, as you meditate, allow yourself to be content by focusing on what you have, rather than what you do not.
0:55Allow yourself to be content with what is.
1:04Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.
1:14And when you're ready, take a few nice deep breaths and allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:30As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse: Love is gentle and consistently kind to all.
1:45It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else.
1:58And again, love is gentle and consistently kind to all.
2:07It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else.
2:24Now bring your attention to the position of the body.
2:32Make sure you can breathe in an open and natural way.
2:46Allow the chest to open and take a few nice deep breaths.
2:58Let the breath fill the body up with life.
3:12With each breath, you're bringing your awareness into this moment.
3:24Relax and allow God to speak to you in the way that He wants.
3:42Let your thoughts go and allow your awareness to rest in this moment.
4:02If your thoughts wander off, that's okay.
4:08It's natural for the thoughts to drift.
4:22As best you can, leave those thoughts right where they are and come back to that feeling of your body.
4:41Our feelings and emotions can distract us from the natural calm of God's love.
4:53There isn't anything to discover.
4:58It's always been there.
5:07This is a safe place.
5:11God loves you.
5:28Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.
5:45Feel the body rise with each inhale.
6:02Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.
6:26Begin to notice the space around the body.
6:43Feel the contact of the body on the chair and your feet on the floor.
7:04When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.
7:21Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.
7:32Let go of your stress.
7:35Let go of your anxiety.
7:45You are exactly where you're meant to be.
7:58Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.
8:15Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.
8:34You are accepted here.
8:37You are loved.
8:54Take this verse with you, "Love is gentle and consistently kind to all.
9:04It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take
9:35a nice deep breath.
9:38Sit back and relax for a moment.
9:42How do you feel?
9:46I hope you feel a little better.
9:49We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
