0:00When we rest in the presence of God, our senses naturally withdraw from the world around us.
0:09When we focus on one thing, we direct our senses and our entire being to that one thing.
0:17When we meditate on the words of God, we do the same thing.
0:23So as you begin your meditation today, let your soul experience and absorb the singular presence of God.
0:35Okay.
0:37Let's begin by taking a few seconds to consciously relax the body.
0:49And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.
0:58Now take a moment to consider this verse: God is love.
1:07Everyone who lives in love, lives in God, and God lives in them.
1:23And again, God is love.
1:28Everyone who lives in love, lives in God, and God lives in them.
1:51In your own time, take a few nice deep breaths, in through the nose, and out through the mouth.
2:11Allow the body to let go a little bit more with each exhale.
2:26Feel the face and the neck softening as your body begins to relax.
2:41Notice how your breath softens and relaxes the body.
2:55Come to that sense of weight in the body, allowing the chair to hold the body up.
3:13Relax the arms all the way down to the hands.
3:21Allow the legs to become heavy, relaxing all the way down to the toes.
3:38Feel the muscles softening.
3:49Allow the natural rhythm of the breath to relax the body.
4:01Notice the rise and the fall of the chest.
4:14Just noticing how good it feels just to breathe.
4:33And now, for a moment or two, let your awareness be free.
4:41Let it rest.
4:55Bring your attention to the feeling of the breath.
5:11Let it settle into a natural rhythm, effortless and easy.
5:37Notice how good it feels just to breathe.
5:54With each inhale, let your body fill up with new life.
6:04With each exhale, release and let your body relax.
6:25Feel your feet on the floor and the weight of your body in the chair.
6:42Now, gently bring your attention to your emotions.
6:53Just noticing the feelings that you brought with you today.
7:07Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them as an observer.
7:24Remember that you can leave those feelings right where they are.
7:36Just allow those thoughts to bubble up and out.
7:56Remember, today is a new day with new opportunities.
8:05God is working in your life.
8:21Take this verse with you.
8:25"God is love.
8:29Everyone who lives in love, lives in God, and God lives in them." When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to
8:59open.
9:01Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
9:11Notice how you feel.
9:16I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:20We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
