0:00In Japan, there's a tradition of repairing broken pottery using gold to fill the cracks.

0:10By getting in touch with God on a regular basis, you're doing the same thing.

0:19Life can leave you cracked and broken, but beauty can come from broken things.

0:31God can transform your struggle into beauty.

0:42When you feel ready, go ahead and get comfortable in your position, really allowing the body to relax.

0:56And when you're ready, let your eyes slowly close.

1:06Take a moment to consider this verse, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." And again, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." With a gradual

1:46ease, take a nice big breath.

1:54Be intentional with the breath, big, deep inhales and nice, long exhales.

2:13Relax and settle into your body.

2:21With each breath, allow the muscles to soften and let go.

2:36Feel that sense of gravity and weight in the body.

2:45You're just uncovering the natural calm that's always accessible through God.

3:03Now, with ease, bring your awareness to the sounds in the room.

3:17Just listening to the sounds with an easy curiosity, not placing judgment on the sounds, just noticing the sounds and accepting them as part of this practice.

3:49If the thoughts take you away, it's okay.

3:54When you notice the thoughts, gently bring your awareness back to the sounds.

4:13Just noticing and listening.

4:30Now, for a moment or two, let your awareness go where it wants to go.

4:49When you feel comfortable, bring your attention to the feeling of the body.

5:02Make sure you aren't holding any stress or anxiety in the body.

5:19Consciously, begin to scan the body and make sure everything's comfortable and relaxed.

5:48Take a few natural, deep breaths.

5:55Release any emotions or feelings you brought with you to this practice.

6:13"Let God handle what you cannot." Relax the body a little more with each out breath.

6:38Simply let go, and rest in the presence of God.

6:55Feel the space around the body.

7:07Appreciate the sounds in the room.

7:21Just listening and experiencing the feeling of breathing.

7:37If you notice any resistance in the body, come back to the breath and allow that tension to release.

7:59You are safe.

8:15Take this verse with you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of the body.

8:43Notice the weight of the body on the chair, and when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open, and take a nice deep breath.

8:57Notice how your breath changes the way you feel.

9:02I hope you feel a little more in touch with God.

9:08We'll see you again next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
