0:00Life is a mystery that unfolds in chapters.
0:11You can be sure that God sees the entirety of your story in a way that you never will.
0:26When it feels like you're off-track in your life, remember, it may be just a chapter in a larger story.
0:41Okay, let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few nice, deep breaths.
0:53As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:06Take a moment to consider this verse, "Teach me your ways, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth." Again, "Teach me your ways, O Lord, and I will
1:31walk in your truth." Bring your attention to any tightness in the body, just noticing how the body feels.
2:04Start by relaxing the hands, letting go of any tension in the hands.
2:20Allow the arms to totally relax, letting go at the elbows and the wrists.
2:37Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.
2:49Let the legs become heavy.
2:59Allow the muscles to completely let go.
3:13Let your body totally relax and release.
3:28And now, if it feels comfortable, take a big deep breath, letting the air fill up the body.
3:44Feel the chest rise on the inhale and fall on the exhale.
4:02Notice how the breath changes the way the body feels.
4:19And now, for a moment or two, let go of any focus, and just allow yourself to be.
4:48Now, let's take some nice deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
5:11Just noticing and observing the breath, watching the rise and the fall of the chest.
5:35Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.
5:55Begin to notice any feelings you may have brought with you today.
6:12Thoughts are a natural part of meditation.
6:20Just leave those feelings right where they are, and then gently come back to the feeling of the breath.
6:44Long, deep inhale, then a slow, controlled exhale.
7:02Allow the breath to calm the mind and relax the body.
7:17And now, allow your awareness to fall and move inward, finding that place where you feel loved.
7:39Feel that natural peace in God's presence.
7:53Remember, when you come near to God, He will come near to you.
8:14Take this verse with you.
8:17Teach me your ways, O Lord, and I will walk in Your truth.
8:35Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of your breath.
8:42Listen to the sound of your breathing.
8:46And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.
8:56Give yourself a stretch and sit back and relax.
9:01Remember to take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.
9:09I hope you feel better.
9:11Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
