0:00In time, everything will pass.
0:06That can be hard to accept when you're in the middle of a storm, but it's true.
0:16If you're struggling, know that you're not alone.
0:23This will eventually pass.
0:32Okay, let's begin by consciously relaxing the body.
0:40And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.
0:50As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse: This is my command: Be strong and courageous.
1:07Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
1:26And again, this is my command: Be strong and courageous.
1:36Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
1:59Bring your attention to the feeling of the breath.
2:09Let it settle into a natural rhythm, effortless and easy.
2:27Notice how good it feels just to breathe.
2:43With each inhale, let your body fill up with new life.
2:54With each exhale, release and let your body relax.
3:11Feel your feet on the floor and the weight of your body in the chair.
3:29Now, gently bring your attention to your emotions.
3:39Just noticing the feelings that you brought with you today.
3:53Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them as an observer.
4:11Remember that you can leave those feelings right where they are.
4:22Just allow those thoughts to bubble up and out.
4:39Remember, today is a new day with new opportunities.
4:47God is working in your life.
5:02With an easy awareness, bring your attention to the space in the room.
5:22Just noticing the space with an easy curiosity.
5:33Notice your place in the room.
5:51Feel the air on your skin.
6:03Listen to the sounds in the room.
6:10Maybe it's quiet in the room, maybe it's not.
6:15Both are okay.
6:26You're just listening, and welcoming the sounds as part of the exercise.
6:39Not wishing to change the sounds, just accepting the sounds as they are.
7:06(pause of 17 seconds) When it feels natural, slowly bring your awareness to the breath.
7:24Allow your breath to be a reminder to stay in this present moment.
7:42If your mind begins to wander, you can always come back to the feeling of the breath.
8:01(pause of 13 seconds) Relax and let your body honor the natural calm that only comes from the presence of a loving God.
8:28(pause of 10 seconds) Take this verse with you: "This is my command: Be strong and courageous.
8:40Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (pause of 12 seconds) Allow your awareness to slowly come back to your body, and when
9:10it feels natural, begin to open your eyes.
9:17Sit back in your chair.
9:20Maybe you want to stretch a little bit.
9:23Do whatever feels good.
9:26Take a moment to notice how you feel.
9:32I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:35We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
