0:00Finding peace in the storm can be as simple as looking to God.
0:09It's a matter of trust.
0:13Jesus slept through the storm because He wasn't worried.
0:19That's what unconditional trust looks like.
0:27Today, as you meditate, allow yourself to let go and fully trust God.
0:39Okay, let's get started by allowing the body to relax, and when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.
0:58Take a moment to consider this verse, "Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will bring me safely through them." And again, "Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will
1:25bring me safely through them." Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.
1:53Feel the body rise with each inhale, and then allow your awareness to rest in a little more with each exhale.
2:17Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.
2:35Begin to notice the space around the body.
2:45Feel the contact of the body on the chair, and your feet on the floor.
2:59When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.
3:13Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.
3:23Let go of your stress.
3:26Let go of your anxiety.
3:32You are exactly where you're meant to be.
3:45Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.
4:02Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.
4:21You are accepted here.
4:25You are loved.
4:39With ease, bring your attention to the breath.
4:52Take a few nice, deep breaths.
5:01Make them feel easy and effortless.
5:18Feel life enter your body as you breathe in, and then release your tension as you breathe out.
5:44Inhale.
5:47Feel how the body expands.
5:51Then slowly exhale, feeling the body fall.
6:12Feel the air as it travels in through the nose, and follow the air back out through the mouth.
6:32Allow each breath to soften the chest and relax the shoulders.
6:50Begin to scan the body from the head to the toe, relaxing the body piece by piece.
7:15There's no way to do this wrong.
7:30And now, for a few moments, allow your mind to do what it wants to do.
7:43If it wants to think, then let it think.
7:50And if it wants to rest, then let it rest.
8:09Take this verse with you: Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will bring me safely through them.
8:32When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your eyes to open.
8:44Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
8:54Notice how you feel.
8:59I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:03We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
