0:00Silence really doesn't come naturally to us.
0:10Our brains crave activity.
0:18It can feel strange, and even uncomfortable, to sit in silence for any period of time.
0:27But the more we do it, the more our soul responds to it.
0:37As you make meditation a regular part of your daily existence, you acquire a taste for it.
0:50Begin to enjoy this time of solitude and peace.
1:01Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.
1:09And when you're ready, take a few nice deep breaths and allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:25Now, take a moment to consider this verse, "The Lord is close to all who call on Him.
1:36Yes, to all who call on Him in truth." And again, "The Lord is close to all who call on Him.
2:05Yes, to all who call on Him in truth." Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.
2:28Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.
2:38Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.
2:52Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly.
3:00And then exhale, controlling the breath.
3:09Allow yourself to be here in this moment.
3:19This is all that matters right now.
3:27Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.
3:34Release it to God.
3:46Today is a new day, with new opportunities.
4:00Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your creator, who loves you.
4:18Deep breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
4:34Remember, this is a place of love.
4:40Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.
4:46God's calming presence is always accessible to you.
4:59Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.
5:20With a gentle curiosity, begin to notice the breath.
5:38Make the breath deep and full of life.
5:44Allow that fresh air to fill up the lungs, and then relax the body as you exhale.
6:09Let your body become heavy as your mind continues to relax.
6:18You are exactly where you need to be.
6:35And now, come to the heartbeat.
6:41Maybe even listen for its rhythm.
6:57Just relaxing and releasing.
7:16If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.
7:23When it's easy, bring your awareness back to the heartbeat.
7:41Just listen to your heartbeat and the gentle sound of your breath.
8:04Let your breath act as an anchor to this moment and this practice.
8:25With each breath, allow yourself to rest further into the calm of God's love.
8:50Take this verse with you, "The Lord is close to all who call on Him.
8:58Yes, to all who call on Him in truth." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice
9:27deep breath.
9:30Sit back and relax for a moment.
9:34How do you feel?
9:38I hope you feel a little better.
9:41We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
