0:00Allowing the noise in your mind to quiet is more than trying to silence your thoughts.
0:11It's giving you the opportunity to listen, to be with God, to listen to your body, maybe even to listen to emotions that have been suppressed.
0:37Silence is an opportunity to realize more about yourself and your relationship with God.
0:52Allow your mind to become quiet as you rest into this meditation.
1:04Okay.
1:05Let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few nice, deep breaths.
1:16As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:28Take a moment to consider this verse, "My soul is quiet and waits for God alone.
1:40He is the one who saves me." And again, "My soul is quiet and waits for God alone.
2:00He is the one who saves me." Now, bring your awareness to the feelings you brought with you today.
2:31Just taking note of your emotions and accepting them as they are.
2:48Begin to take a few nice, big breaths.
3:03With each exhale, you're relaxing and letting those feelings go.
3:19Stressful situations are a part of life, but you are stronger than those feelings.
3:45Just relaxing and appreciating the breath.
3:57On your next inhale, begin to count the breath.
4:03One on the inhale and two on the exhale.
4:10Three on the next inhale and four on the exhale, counting up to 10, and then starting over again.
4:45Allow your breath to bring life into your body.
4:58Let your breath remind you of God's calming presence in your life.
5:19Now, slowly begin to take some deep breaths, allowing the body to open.
5:37Let the breath relax any areas of tightness in the body.
5:53Consciously, start to turn the muscles off.
6:01Start with the muscles in the feet and the legs.
6:09Allow the feet to be heavy on the floor.
6:17Allow the chest and the back to open, so the breathing can become deep and natural.
6:38Soften the shoulders.
6:42Allow them to fall away from the ears.
6:56Let the head fall and become heavy at the neck.
7:08Feel the weight of the body and how it pushes you down into the chair.
7:26When it feels comfortable, bring your awareness to the sound of your breath.
7:36Not changing anything about the breath, just noticing it.
7:54Listening to the gentle rhythm, the inhales and exhales.
8:12Filling the body up with fresh air, and then slowly exhaling and letting go.
8:28Let your mind be still.
8:45Take this verse with you: "My soul is quiet, and waits for God alone.
8:55He is the one who saves me." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of your breath.
9:18Listen to the sound of your breathing.
9:22And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.
9:32Give yourself a stretch, and sit back and relax.
9:37Remember to take a moment to check in, and notice how you feel.
9:44I hope you feel better.
9:47Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
