0:00It's common to believe that peace is something that is found, but the truth is that peace already exists inside of you.
0:18The trick is learning how to uncover that peace consistently.
0:27As you prepare yourself for prayer today, leave all of your thoughts and emotions right where they are.
0:38Allow yourself to rest into a deeper place of peace.
0:50Let's begin by allowing the body to become heavy.
0:59And as you begin to relax, allow your eyes to close.
1:10Now, take a moment to consider this verse.
1:17"Don't worry about anything.
1:20Instead, pray about everything.
1:25Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done." And again, "Don't worry about anything.
1:45Instead, pray about everything.
1:50Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done." With a gradual ease, take a nice big breath.
2:27Be intentional with the breath.
2:34Big, deep inhales and nice long exhales.
2:46Relax and settle into your body.
2:54With each breath, allow the muscles to soften and let go.
3:09Feel that sense of gravity and weight in the body.
3:18You're just uncovering the natural calm that's always accessible through God.
3:36Now, with ease, bring your awareness to the sounds in the room.
3:50Just listening to the sounds with an easy curiosity.
3:59Not placing judgment on the sounds, just noticing the sounds and accepting them as part of this practice.
4:22If the thoughts take you away, it's okay.
4:27When you notice the thoughts, gently bring your awareness back to the sounds.
4:46Just noticing and listening.
5:03Now, for a moment or two, let your awareness go where it wants to go.
5:28Now, bring your attention to the way it feels when you breathe.
5:49Feel the stomach and the chest rise with each inhale.
6:00And feel the body relax with each exhale.
6:24In through the nose.
6:27Feel the body expand, and then slowly exhale.
6:52Let the breath be natural.
6:56Let the breath naturally relax the body.
7:16Allow the face and the neck to soften.
7:36Allow the forehead to relax and the shoulders to fall away from the ears.
7:56Relax the body and allow the chair to hold the body up.
8:13Just relaxing and letting the body unwind.
8:32Simply let go.
8:48Take this verse with you: Don't worry about anything.
8:55Instead, pray about everything.
9:00Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
9:18When it feels easy, bring your attention back to the feeling of the breath.
9:27Take a few more deep breaths and slowly allow your eyes to open.
9:36Notice how the breath changes the way you feel.
9:41I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:45We'll see you again tomorrow.
9:48Take care of yourself.
