0:00Jesus said that God is not only our creator, He's also our Father.
0:10Jesus tells us that God is constantly pursuing us.
0:16He wants to be reunited with His children.
0:23As you meditate today, remember that wherever you are, God is pursuing you.
0:36Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.
0:44And when you're ready, take a few nice deep breaths and allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:00Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "He does not leave the people alone who belong to Him.
1:13They are kept forever." And again, "He does not leave the people alone who belong to Him.
1:31They are kept forever." Now, consciously begin to relax your muscles.
1:58Feel the weight of gravity on your body as the chair holds you up.
2:17Begin to notice how the body feels.
2:32Just scanning the body from the head down to the toes.
2:46Consciously relaxing any areas of tightness or tension.
3:00Take a few big deep breaths in.
3:10Notice how the breath changes the body.
3:21Just relaxing and releasing, allowing your body to totally let go.
3:39If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.
3:45Thoughts are a normal part of meditation.
3:50You aren't holding on to the thoughts or the feelings, you're just allowing them to bubble up and out.
4:04You're releasing those thoughts to God.
4:20Now, for a moment or two, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.
4:49Now, bring your attention to the way the breath feels and take a few deep breaths.
5:08Gently expand the chest on the inhale, and then let the body soften on the exhale.
5:34With each breath, there's new life entering the body.
5:54As you breathe, begin to soften the body, starting at the top of the head.
6:11Allow the shoulders to fall away from the ears.
6:22Now, gently bring your awareness to the space around the body.
6:41Feel the air on the skin.
6:51Notice the temperature of the air.
7:11And now, gently move your awareness to the heartbeat.
7:29Allow the rhythm of the heartbeat to relax the body.
7:48Let your awareness rest deeper in the presence of God.
7:59Simply let go.
8:15Take this verse with you, "He does not leave the people alone who belong to Him.
8:24They are kept forever." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.
8:54Sit back, and relax for a moment.
8:58How do you feel?
9:02I hope you feel a little better.
9:05We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
