0:00Society has a way of presenting things to us that look like they can give our lives meaning.

0:10And truthfully, they may even feel good for a while.

0:17But true meaning in life can only be found in relationships, both with God and with others.

0:30Today, as you relax into this meditation, allow yourself to be fully present with your creator.

0:45Okay, let's go ahead and get started by taking a moment to notice your breath.

0:57Just the rise and the fall of the chest.

1:05And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:16Now take a moment to consider this verse: God's spirit now lives in you, and He will raise you to life by His spirit.

1:39And again, God's spirit now lives in you, and He will raise you to life by His spirit.

2:00Gradually, and with ease, bring your awareness to rest on your breath.

2:14Feel the body rise with each inhale, and then allow your awareness to rest in a little more with each exhale.

2:38Notice how with each breath, the body feels a little calmer.

2:56Begin to notice the space around the body.

3:06Feel the contact of the body on the chair, and your feet on the floor.

3:20When you feel comfortable, begin to scan the entire body to build up a picture of what the body feels like.

3:34Piece by piece, release any areas of tension.

3:44Let go of your stress, let go of your anxiety.

3:53You are exactly where you're meant to be.

4:06Allow that natural rhythm of the breath to relax you.

4:23Let your breath guide you to a place of safety in the presence of God.

4:42You are accepted here.

4:46You are loved.

5:06Now, bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

5:20Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

5:48Now take a few deep breaths and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

6:14With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

6:37Now, begin to deepen the breath.

6:48Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath.

7:06And then right back into the next inhale, slow it down and make it deep.

7:24And then exhale.

7:27Let the body relax.

7:44Now, allow your breath to settle and let your mind settle with it.

8:09Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

8:30Take this verse with you, "God's spirit now lives in you, and He will raise you to life by His spirit." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of

8:57the body.

8:58Notice the weight of the body on the chair, and when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open and take a nice deep breath.

9:13Notice how your breath changes the way you feel.

9:18I hope you feel a little more in touch with God.

9:24We'll see you again next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
