0:00Purpose makes the most mundane task important.

0:06It changes what is meaningless into something meaningful.

0:12By asking God to fill you with His purpose, we're asking to see the world as God does, to see other people as God does.

0:25So today, let God's presence bring you a new vision.

0:30Let it help you see the eternal worth of the people God has put in your path.

0:37Think about that as you settle into this meditation.

0:44Let's go ahead and get started by gently bringing your attention to the breath.

0:53Notice the rise and the fall of the chest.

1:01And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:12Take a moment to consider this verse: Do not pass by a man in need, for you may be the hand of God to him.

1:31And again, do not pass by a man in need, for you may be the hand of God to him.

1:56And now, bring your attention to the heartbeat.

2:05Allow its rhythm to relax the body.

2:17As you begin to relax, bring your attention to the weight of the body.

2:34Allow the arms and the legs to become heavy.

2:43Allow the face to soften, all the way down through the neck.

2:53Soften the skin.

3:01Allow the corners of the eyes to relax.

3:10Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.

3:20Release the elbows.

3:30Let the wrists and the hands relax.

3:41Soften the chest and the stomach.

3:52Release the hips and the thighs.

4:04Relax the calves, all the way down to the ankles.

4:18Allow the entire body to let go and totally relax.

4:36There is nowhere to go.

4:39You are exactly where you're supposed to be.

5:00Bring your attention to the feeling of the breath.

5:12Let it settle into a natural rhythm, effortless and easy.

5:32Notice how good it feels just to breathe.

5:48With each inhale, let your body fill up with new life.

5:59With each exhale, release, and let your body relax.

6:16Feel your feet on the floor and the weight of your body in the chair.

6:34Now, gently bring your attention to your emotions.

6:44Just noticing the feelings that you brought with you today.

7:03Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them as an observer.

7:26Remember that you can leave those feelings right where they are.

7:41Just allow those thoughts to bubble up and out.

8:00Remember, today is a new day with new opportunities.

8:09God is working in your life.

8:26Take this verse with you.

8:29"Do not pass by a man in need, for you may be the hand of God to him." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of the body.

8:55Notice the weight of the body on the chair.

8:59And when you feel ready, allow your eyes to open and take a nice deep breath.

9:09Notice how your breath changes the way you feel.

9:15I hope you feel a little more in touch with God.

9:20We'll see you again next time, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
