0:01One of the best ways to guarantee you have a good day is to start your day by reminding yourself of all the things that you're grateful for.
0:13Of course, this won't always be easy, and it will sometimes feel forced.
0:20But by orienting yourself towards what you have, rather than what you don't have, you'll naturally be more happy.
0:33Today, as you rest into this meditation, remind yourself that God is here with you, right now, and that is enough.
0:50Okay, let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.
1:00And when you're ready, take a few nice deep breaths and allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:16As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse: No one has ever seen, no one has ever heard, no one has ever imagined what God
1:36has prepared for those who love Him.
1:47Again, no one has ever seen, no one has ever heard, no one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.
2:15When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few deep breaths in.
2:26Nice and easy.
2:35Let the breaths settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room.
2:49Not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and your surroundings.
3:07Notice the air on the skin.
3:15Feel the chair beneath you.
3:25Pay attention to the position of your body.
3:30Make sure that you're comfortable.
3:43Notice the state of your mind.
3:49Does the mind feel calm?
3:52Does it feel restless?
3:56Both are okay.
4:04Just a simple, easy noticing.
4:17Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.
4:31Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out.
4:45Deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.
5:06Just relax.
5:21Let's begin to take note of how the body is feeling.
5:34Not really thinking too much about it, just letting go of those feelings of tightness and tension.
6:02When it feels comfortable, take a few deep breaths.
6:23In through the nose and out through the mouth.
6:37Deep breath in, expanding the body and filling the chest up.
6:46And exhale, feeling the chest fall and let go.
7:05Take another big, deep breath in, and control the exhale, letting it take twice as long as the inhale.
7:22With each breath, allow the tension to melt away from the body.
7:41Now, allow your breath to take up a natural rhythm.
7:51Let the gentle sound of your breathing relax your mind.
8:13There is no way to do this wrong, just an easy, effortless awareness.
8:29Letting go.
8:45Take this verse with you: No one has ever seen, no one has ever heard, no one has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.
9:14Gently bring your awareness back to the body.
9:21And when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.
9:30Sit back and relax for a moment.
9:34How do you feel?
9:38I hope you feel a little better.
9:41We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
