0:00Silence creates an environment where you can't hide from yourself.
0:09You feel all of those feelings that you normally try to avoid.
0:15This can be unpleasant, but you can also think about this as a healing process.
0:26By allowing yourself to fully feel, you're releasing yourself from these emotions.
0:34It's a chance to be honest with yourself and with God.
0:40Today, as you meditate, allow yourself to relax and release these feelings.
0:54Go ahead and get comfortable in your position, really allowing the body to relax.
1:06And when you feel ready, let your eyes slowly close.
1:17Now, take a moment to consider this verse.
1:21"But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray in seclusion." "But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray in seclusion." Bring your
1:56attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.
2:09Not engaging with your feelings, just noticing them.
2:23Almost like you're observing your emotions, and then letting them go.
2:35Just like loosening your grip, you're letting go of those feelings.
2:54Let God handle whatever is out of your control.
3:07This is a place of acceptance and safety.
3:15You can always find rest in God.
3:27Now, begin to notice how your body feels.
3:37When it feels comfortable, begin to consciously relax the body.
3:51Scanning down from your head to your toes, release any areas of tension in the body.
4:11Surrender all of your stress and all of your responsibilities, and just let your mind rest.
4:35You are safe.
4:38God is looking out for you.
4:55Now, bring your attention to your breath.
5:05Just a soft, easy awareness.
5:16Notice what it feels like as air passes in through the nose and then back out through the mouth.
5:37Let the breath bring life to your body.
5:55Begin to listen to the sound of your breath.
6:06Listening to the inhale and the exhale.
6:23On the next exhale, allow the breath to relax and become natural.
6:53Allow your breath to bring renewal to your body.
7:03You're making space to notice God's presence in your life.
7:19When it feels comfortable, bring your attention to the heartbeat.
7:35Allow that rhythm and stillness to enter every part of your body.
7:58Feel the presence of God in this space.
8:07Let go of control, and rest into the arms of God.
8:25Take this verse with you, "But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray in seclusion." Softly, begin to bring your awareness back to the body, back
8:54to that feeling of weight in the body.
8:58And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a big, deep breath in.
9:07Take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.
9:13I hope you feel a little more present.
9:17We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
9:23Take care.
