0:01People often say that they feel distant from God, but the truth is God doesn't move.

0:11When we feel distant from God, it's often because we've unintentionally moved away from Him.

0:20This can be because of life's disappointments, and that's understandable.

0:28But if you come near to God, He will come near to you.

0:35As you meditate today, remember that you're moving closer to God and He will meet you there.

0:50Okay, let's begin by getting comfortable and taking a few nice, deep breaths.

1:02As you begin to feel your body releasing, allow your eyes to slowly close.

1:14Take a moment to consider this verse, "I am the Lord and I do not change." And again, "I am the Lord and I do not change." Now, bring your

1:53attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

2:03Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

2:27Now, take a few deep breaths and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

2:49With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

3:08Now, begin to deepen the breath.

3:19Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath.

3:37And then right back into the next inhale.

3:45Slow it down and make it deep.

3:55And then exhale.

3:58Let the body relax.

4:15Now, allow your breath to settle and let your mind settle with it.

4:34Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

4:57Now, take a moment to be grateful for this opportunity to relax.

5:14Notice how good it feels just to be here in this moment.

5:30Let go of your worries and focus your attention on the breath.

5:53Nothing else matters right now.

5:58You are here.

6:01There's nothing to do but relax.

6:20Allow your body to honor the natural calm given by God's presence.

6:36Just listening to the breath, noticing the rise and the fall of the chest.

6:53Deep breath in, expanding the body, and then exhale, letting your awareness rest.

7:16Take another deep breath as you feel your lungs expand.

7:26And exhale, following the air back out through the mouth.

7:39The thoughts may take you away, and that's okay.

7:58With each breath, effortlessly rest into the arms of God.

8:21Take this verse with you, "I am the Lord and I do not change." Gently bring your awareness back to the feeling of your breath.

8:49Listen to the sound of your breathing.

8:53And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take another deep breath in.

9:03Give yourself a stretch and sit back and relax.

9:08Remember to take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.

9:16I hope you feel better.

9:19Take care, and we'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
