0:00It's natural to spend time thinking about the past or the future, but doing this takes you out of the present.
0:13It takes you away from the only real time that exists.
0:21As you meditate and pray today, allow yourself to be present in this moment and grow closer to God.
0:39Okay, let's begin by getting comfortable, taking a few nice, big, deep breaths.
0:52And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:02Now, take a moment to consider this verse.
1:10Here's what I want you to do.
1:14Find a quiet, secluded place.
1:17Just be there, as simply and honestly as you can manage.
1:23The focus will shift from you to God and you will begin to sense His grace.
1:38Again, here's what I want you to do.
1:44Find a quiet, secluded place.
1:47Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage.
1:53The focus will shift from you to God and you will begin to sense His grace.
2:11When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few deep breaths in.
2:22Nice and easy.
2:31Let the breaths settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room.
2:45Not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and your surroundings.
3:03Notice the air on the skin.
3:11Feel the chair beneath you.
3:21Pay attention to the position of your body.
3:26Make sure that you're comfortable.
3:39Notice the state of your mind.
3:45Does the mind feel calm?
3:48Does it feel restless?
3:52Both are okay.
4:00Just a simple, easy noticing.
4:13Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.
4:27Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out.
4:41Deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.
5:02Just relax.
5:18Now, gently bring your awareness to the breath.
5:26Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.
5:42Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.
6:00Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly.
6:09...and then exhale, controlling the breath.
6:25Allow yourself to be here in this moment.
6:33This is all that matters right now.
6:39Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.
6:46Release it to God.
6:57Today is a new day with new opportunities.
7:15Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your Creator who loves you.
7:34Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
7:51Remember, this is a place of love.
7:57Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.
8:03God's calming presence is always accessible to you.
8:21Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.
8:41Take this verse with you.
8:46Find a quiet, secluded place.
8:50Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage.
8:55The focus will shift from you to God, and you'll begin to sense His grace.
9:14Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the body, maybe even move your fingers and toes a little bit.
9:26When it feels natural, allow your eyes to slowly open.
9:33Take another big, deep breath in, and let it out with a sigh.
9:40Notice how you feel.
9:42I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:45We'll see you again tomorrow, with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
