0:00I think it's natural to assume the Bible is all about helping others and treating people right.

0:09But looking from another angle, the Bible is really about helping you.

0:16Forgiving others is great, but at its core, it releases you from carrying hate.

0:26Treating others with kindness is important, but your life will become richer as you love others.

0:36As you meditate today, rest in the knowledge that God is working for your eternal benefit.

0:49When you feel ready, go ahead and get comfortable in your position, really allowing the body to relax.

1:04And when you're ready, let your eyes slowly close.

1:14Take a moment to consider this verse, "We know that in all things, God works for good with those who love Him, those whom He has called according to his

1:30purpose." And again, "We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose." Now, bring your

2:05attention to the way the breath feels and take a few deep breaths.

2:21Gently expand the chest on the inhale, and then let the body soften on the exhale.

2:41With each breath, there's new life entering the body.

2:57As you breathe, begin to soften the body, starting at the top of the head.

3:12Allow the shoulders to fall away from the ears.

3:23Feel gravity push the body down into the chair.

3:35Now, gently bring your awareness to the space around the body.

3:50Feel the air on the skin.

3:58Notice the temperature of the air.

4:12And now, gently move your awareness to the heartbeat.

4:26Allow the rhythm of the heartbeat to relax the body.

4:39Let your awareness rest deeper in the presence of God.

4:49Simply let go.

5:02Bring your attention to any tightness in the body.

5:14Just noticing how the body feels.

5:31Start by relaxing the hands, letting go of any tension in the hands.

5:51Allow the arms to totally relax, letting go at the elbows and the wrists.

6:11Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.

6:23Let the legs become heavy.

6:36Allow the muscles to completely let go.

6:50Let your body totally relax and release.

7:07And now, if it feels comfortable, take a big deep breath, letting the air fill up the body.

7:30Feel the chest rise on the inhale, and fall on the exhale.

7:51Notice how the breath changes the way the body feels.

8:07And now, for a moment or two, let go of any focus, and just allow yourself to be.

8:32Take this verse with you: "We know that in all things, God works for good with those who love Him, those whom He has called according to his purpose." Softly,

9:00begin to bring your awareness back to the body, back to that feeling of weight in the body.

9:09And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes and take a big deep breath in.

9:18Take a moment to check in and notice how you feel.

9:24I hope you feel a little more present.

9:28We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.

9:34Take care.
