0:00Interruptions and detours in life are part of God's plan.

0:07This may be surprising to hear, but what you decide is a detour may have always been your path to take.

0:17As you meditate today, remember that you're walking with God, and He knows exactly where you're going.

0:31Let's start by taking a few nice, deep breaths.

0:41As your breath begins to relax your body, allow your eyes to close, like the sun sets.

0:54Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope." And again, "The Lord is there to

1:19rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope." Now, bring your awareness to the space around the body.

1:47Not really examining it, just noticing the space with an easy curiosity.

2:08Notice any sensations on the skin.

2:15Feel the clothes on the skin.

2:25Feel the temperature of the room.

2:34Listen to the sounds in the room.

2:43Just a nice, easy focus on the sounds in the room.

3:04Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.

3:12Notice the rise and the fall of the chest.

3:29Maybe the breath is shallow, or maybe it's deep.

3:35Both are okay.

3:39Just follow the breath as it moves through your body.

3:55Let the rhythm of your breath relax your mind.

4:14This is a safe place.

4:18God is watching over you.

4:35Now, bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.

4:52Not engaging with the emotions, just noticing them with an easy curiosity.

5:21Now, take a few deep breaths, and allow the body to relax a little more with each exhale.

5:49With each passing thought, allow your awareness to rest deeper into God's love.

6:08Now, begin to deepen the breath.

6:27Inhale slowly and lengthen the breath, and then exhale, letting go of the breath.

6:47And then right back into the next inhale.

6:55Slow it down and make it deep.

7:08And then exhale.

7:10Let the body relax.

7:25Now, allow your breath to settle and let your mind settle with it.

7:44Give yourself space just to be who you are, a child of God.

8:05Take this verse with you, "The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope." When it feels easy, bring your attention back to the

8:34feeling of the breath.

8:37Take a few more deep breaths and slowly allow your eyes to open.

8:46Notice how the breath changes the way you feel.

8:51I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

8:55We'll see you again tomorrow.

8:58Take care of yourself.
