0:00Rest is holy.

0:03In fact, it's part of God's creation.

0:08On the seventh day, He rested.

0:14Today, as you meditate, rest in God's arms, and let His love restore your soul.

0:27Okay.

0:28Let's go ahead and get started by getting comfortable in your chair.

0:37And when you're ready, take a few nice deep breaths and allow your eyes to slowly close.

0:53As your body begins to settle, take a moment to consider this verse.

1:02"He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves." "And again, He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves." Now, gently bring your awareness to

1:38the breath.

1:42Allow your breath to deepen and fill the lungs.

1:52Big, deep breath in, and then taking twice as long on the exhale.

2:06Let the inhale come easily and effortlessly, and then exhale, controlling the breath.

2:24Allow yourself to be here in this moment.

2:33This is all that matters right now.

2:41Whatever you need to let go of, let it go.

2:48Release it to God.

3:00Today is a new day, with new opportunities.

3:14Allow your breath to renew your spirit and connect you to your Creator, who loves you.

3:32Deep breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

3:48Remember, this is a place of love.

3:54Let this practice be whatever you need it to be.

4:00God's calming presence is always accessible to you.

4:13Let your awareness rest in the loving presence of God.

4:34With a gentle curiosity, begin to notice the breath.

4:52Make the breath deep, and full of life.

4:58Allow that fresh air to fill up the lungs, and then relax the body as you exhale.

5:23Let your body become heavy as your mind continues to relax.

5:32You are exactly where you need to be.

5:49And now, come to the heartbeat.

5:55Maybe even listen for its rhythm.

6:11Just relaxing and releasing.

6:30If the thoughts take you away, that's okay.

6:37When it's easy, bring your awareness back to the heartbeat.

6:55Just listen to your heartbeat and the gentle sound of your breath.

7:18Let your breath act as an anchor to this moment and this practice.

7:39With each breath, allow yourself to rest further into the calm of God's love.

8:04Take this verse with you, "He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves." Gently bring your awareness back to the body, and when you feel ready, slowly

8:35open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.

8:41Sit back and relax for a moment.

8:45How do you feel?

8:49I hope you feel a little better.

8:52We'll see you next time with hope, mindfulness, and prayer.
