0:00As you go through life, you will grow and change.

0:06You will become more like the people and things you spend your time with.

0:13If you focus on the approval of others, your thoughts will be consumed by what others think.

0:22But by spending time with God, you can become more like Him.

0:28His love and acceptance for you will become your love and acceptance for others.

0:37Rest with that today as you relax into this meditation.

0:48Okay.

0:50Let's go ahead and get started by taking a moment to notice your breath, just the rise and the fall of the chest.

1:08And when you're ready, let your eyes close like the sun sets.

1:19Now, take a moment to consider this verse: "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness." And again, "The fruit of the Spirit is love,

1:53joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness." When it feels comfortable, go ahead and take a few deep breaths in, nice and easy.

2:35Let the breath settle and become natural, and bring your attention to the space in the room, not thinking too hard about it, just becoming aware of your body and

2:56your surroundings.

3:07Notice the air on the skin.

3:16Feel the chair beneath you.

3:25Pay attention to the position of your body.

3:30Make sure that you're comfortable.

3:43Notice the state of your mind.

3:49Does the mind feel calm?

3:52Does it feel restless?

3:56Both are okay.

4:04Just a simple, easy noticing.

4:17Just noticing the space, almost like you're an observer.

4:32Notice the gentle sound of your breath coming in and going out, deepening the inhales and extending the exhales, letting the body rest.

5:06Just relax.

5:23Keeping your eyes closed, bring your awareness to the space around the room.

5:43Just noticing the sounds in the room and the sensations on the body.

5:58Welcome these sensations as part of the practice.

6:21When it feels comfortable, take some nice deep breaths.

6:37Real easy, deep breaths.

6:55Now, begin to slow down the inhale.

7:04Long, slow, deep inhalation, and then let the breath out and relax.

7:17Again, take another long, slow, deep breath in, filling up the body, and then let the exhale come naturally.

7:37With each breath, let your mind relax.

7:55Allow your feelings to release and become a prayer to God.

8:16Now, for a few moments, let go of the focused attention and let your awareness rest.

8:29You are loved.

8:45Take this verse with you: The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

9:15When it feels natural, bring your awareness back to the room, just noticing the room with a gentle appreciation.

9:29And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:36Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:40I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:43We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
