0:01Prayer allows your spirit to rest and reconnect.
0:09By taking time to rest, you're honoring God.
0:16By resting, you're accepting God's love.
0:24Your actions are telling Him that you know He's in control.
0:34Resting is an act of trust and love.
0:41You're acknowledging that God is in control.
0:49OK, let's begin by taking a few seconds to consciously relax the body.
1:03And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly close.
1:12Now, take a moment to consider this verse: You're my cave to hide in, my cliff to climb.
1:33And again, You're my cave to hide in, my cliff to climb.
1:54Now, let's take some nice deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
2:13Just noticing and observing the breath, watching the rise and the fall of the chest.
2:33Listen to the gentle sound of your breathing.
2:45Begin to notice any feelings you may have brought with you today.
2:59Thoughts are a natural part of meditation.
3:07Just leave those feelings right where they are, and then gently come back to the feeling of the breath.
3:27Long, deep inhale, then a slow, controlled exhale.
3:43Allow the breath to calm the mind and relax the body.
4:01And now, allow your awareness to fall and move inward, finding that place where you feel loved.
4:21Feel that natural peace in God's presence.
4:33Remember, when you come near to God, He will come near to you.
4:58Bring your attention to any emotions you're carrying with you.
5:13Not engaging with your feelings, just noticing them.
5:30Almost like you're observing your emotions, and then letting them go.
5:40Just like loosening your grip, you're letting go of those feelings.
6:10Let God handle whatever is out of your control.
6:26This is a place of acceptance and safety.
6:34You can always find rest in God.
6:49Now, begin to notice how your body feels.
7:02When it feels comfortable, begin to consciously relax the body.
7:20Scanning down from your head to your toes, release any areas of tension in the body.
7:39Surrender all of your stress and all of your responsibilities and just let your mind rest.
8:04You are safe.
8:07God is looking out for you.
8:23Take this verse with you, "You're my cave to hide in, my cliff to climb." When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the breath and allow your
8:59eyes to open.
9:01Take a few deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth.
9:12Notice how you feel.
9:17I hope you feel a little more relaxed.
9:21We'll see you again tomorrow with hope, mindfulness and prayer.
