0:01You are emotional and passionate because God is emotional and passionate.

0:09You are made in His image.

0:13God is not passive in His love for you.

0:18He's passionate about you and your life.

0:24Whether you're happy or sad, or something in between, these feelings are not by accident, they're by design.

0:35He designed you to be who you are.

0:41Today as you meditate, remember, you were made with passion and with a purpose.

0:52Let's begin by allowing the body to become heavy.

1:01And as you begin to relax, allow your eyes to close.

1:12Now take a moment to consider this verse: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

1:35And again: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

1:59Gently bring your awareness to any sensations you're feeling.

2:09Just noticing the sensations on the body.

2:19Maybe it's the air on the skin or the weight of the body in the chair.

2:32Just noticing and welcoming these sensations as part of the meditation.

2:48Notice the rise and the fall of the chest as you breathe.

3:04Follow the breath and notice how it changes your body, the inhales expanding the body and filling it up with life, and the exhales relaxing the body, letting go.

3:41Follow the breath as it comes in through the nose and then goes back out through the mouth.

3:59You don't have to do anything.

4:03It's natural and effortless.

4:07Your body knows how to relax.

4:13You are simply unearthing the calm that was already there.

4:26This is a safe place of love and deep rest.

4:40Allow your mind to take refuge in God.

5:03When it feels natural, let's take a nice big breath.

5:16With each breath, allow the body to become softer and more relaxed, almost like a wave of relaxation washing over the body.

5:47The breath fills up the body, and then it gives way to that natural relaxation that's right under the surface.

6:13Now, let's turn our awareness to how the body feels.

6:24Just examining the body with an easy curiosity.

6:40Allow your shoulders to relax and fall away from the ears.

6:49Relax your arms and allow your hands to open and let go.

7:00Allow your temples and face to relax.

7:10Let the throat and the neck soften.

7:18Allow your breath to deepen as your awareness rests deeper.

7:28Just relaxing and releasing.

7:41You are here, and everything is okay.

7:47God is with you.

8:04And now, for a moment or two, let go of any focus and allow yourself to simply be.

8:28Take this verse with you: "The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love." When it feels natural, bring your awareness back to the room.

9:03Just noticing the room with a gentle appreciation.

9:10And when you're ready, allow your eyes to slowly open.

9:16Take a moment to notice how you feel.

9:20I hope you feel a little more relaxed.

9:23We'll see you again tomorrow for another day of hope.
